In creating the sleek interiors for Monsieur Bleu-the new eatery at Palais de Tokyo,Paris’s edgiest contemporary-art venue-French architect Joseph Dirant took inspiration from Art Deco glamour, the artwork of Yves Klein, and the minimalist stile of Adolf Loos. A soaring space with a large terrace overlooking the Seine,Monsieur Bleu features velvet banquettes and Eero Saarinen chairs in a refined palette of grays and greens set against marble-and-oak floors and walls clad with vintage Lalique glass panels. Expect a few surprises on the brasserie-stile menu, including anAmerican classic, the lobster roll.
