The Na’onal Hotel Miami Beach to Unveil Eco-Conscious Art Installa’on for Art Week 2024 “NO MORE TIME · OCEANS ARE LIFE’’ Artwork sculpture by Paola BuraOo Caovilla 3rd December 2024 to January 2025 Curator: Stéphane Ruffier-Meray Celebra@ng Miami Art Week 2024, The Na@onal Hotel Miami Beach will debut a sculpture by ar@st Paola BuraNo Caovilla en@tled “No More Time – Oceans are Life,” to be displayed exclusively from December 3, 2024 to January 2025. Made of resin and acrylic paint, the ar@st’s mul@-colored globe represents our planet. It shines the spotlight on the oceans, its mari@me life & flora with a universal message to share: there can be no future if we do not care for the environment, and protec@ng the oceans must be a top priority on this front. “No More Time – Oceans are Life” sums up the way in which our lives are intertwined with that of our planet, raising awareness of climate change. Through this work, Paola BuraNo Caovilla is illustra@ng human’s bond with the Earth and Mother Nature.
Her poe@c pain@ng features idiosyncra@c use of colors and materials to voice her deep-rooted passion for the environment and show the tangibility of environmental impact. “No More Time – Oceans are Life” stems from what Paola has seen and done, but there is more to it than just experience: in life, we must endeavor to leave our children and those who come a]er us a beNer world, where they can find happiness. The only message that counts is the one that tells us we must be environmentally friendly and sustainable. This approach to art gave rise to the vibrant colors and the materiality of the lines. The resul@ng message can be understood by everyone: “No More Time – Oceans are Life”. “No More Time – Oceans are Life” was displayed last summer in Saint Tropez at the Hôtel de Paris to communicate the vital need to protect the Posidonia grasslands. Posidonia is an endemic plant of the Mediterranean Sea region which performs essen@al func@ons both for marine life and for humans, considered the lung of the Mediterranean because it absorbs huge amounts of CO2. TT.RR.HH. Princesses Maria Carolina and Maria Chiara of Bourbon Two Sicilies support this ini@a@ve, Princess Maria Chiara is since 2023 Ambassador WWF France & Italy and specially dedicated to this cause. The installa@on of “No More Time – Oceans are Life” at the Na@onal Hotel Miami Beach conveys the universal message crossing the Atlan@c Ocean to the iconic Florida coastline, of the need to protect the seagrass meadows essen@al for marine diversity keeping oceans clean and healthy, vital for life on land protec@ng our coastal areas from erosion storms and floods as they absorb the impact of waves, and helps mi@gate the effects of climate change through carbon sequestra@on. This ini@a@ve was made possible thanks to Mrs. Delphine Dray, owner of the Na@onal Hotel.
